I am an ecologist with 9 years experience in ecological research and environmental assessments. I specialise in bird and bat ecology in arid environments and have worked on targeted surveys for Pilbara leaf nosed bat, Ghost Bat, Night Parrot and Bilbys in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. I currently have a small team of dogs who are trained on bird and bat carcass detection and locating ground nesting birds. 
Gibson is a 18 month old German Shorthaired Pointer. Gibson lives for $2 kmart high bounce balls and will do anything for it. He is working reliably on finding bird and bat carcasses.
Tali is a 13 month old German shorthaired pointer. She is 100% bird brained and loves to point birds, we have channeled this into a general ability to find nests or roost sites for a range of terrestrial birds by giving a passive indication (pointing) so as to not disturb the site.
